International Guests Guide

We’re so excited that you’ll be traveling to celebrate our wedding with us! Here’s a simple guide to help make your trip easier and more enjoyable.

✈️ Travel Information

  • Nearest airport: Aeroport Josep Tarradellas Barcelona (BCN)
  • From the airport to the wedding:
Located about 130 kms. / 1h 30 minutes from Les Borges del Camp, where the ceremony will take place, this airport offers a variety of international flights and transportation options.
  • To the venue:
The ceremony will be in the hermitage of Les Borges del Camp, which has a little train station with not many trains from Barcelona and the celebration will be in Riudoms, which has no train station nor access without car. For that reason, we recommend you to either rent a car directly at Barcelona airport or travel to Tarragona or Reus (biggest cities around) by train from the airport through Barcelona Sants train station and then rent a car in Tarragona or Reus to move around the area. Another option is to ask us if we can pair you with someone else to give you a ride to the wedding locations or if we can pair you with other guests from abroad to rent a car in group.

🏨 Where to Stay

We suggest booking accommodation near Riudoms, where the venue is located. Reus and Tarragona are the biggest cities around and have plenty of options if you prefer to have more acces to public transport. Here are a few options:

📆 Important Dates

  • Wedding Ceremony: May 31st at 4pm in Ermita Mare de Déu de la Riera (Les Borges del Camp)
  • Reception: Starts at 5pm after the ceremony in Mas del Gaset (Riudoms)
  • Ideal arrival date: 1 day before the ceremony
  • Suggested departure: At least the day after the celebration, later if you’d like to hang out after the wedding or visit the area

🍽 What to Expect

  • In Spain, dinner usually starts later (around 9 PM), so don’t be surprised if things run later than you’re used to!
  • Our celebration includes a cocktail-style dinner with lots of delicious bites—no formal seating, so feel free to mingle!
  • Expect music, dancing, and lots of joy ✨

💶 Money & Payments

  • Currency: Euro (€)
  • Credit cards are widely accepted almost everywhere.
  • Tipping is not mandatory but always appreciated in restaurants and taxis.

🧳 What to Pack

  • Dress code: Elegant cocktail attire or up to you!
  • The celebration will be outdoors, please bring comfortable shoes for walking on grass or stone.
  • Check the weather forecast for May, but expect daytime warmth and cooler evenings.

🏞️ Things to Do Nearby

If you’re staying a few extra days, here are some beautiful spots and experiences we recommend in the area:

  • Roman Tarraco – Tarraco is the ancient name of the current city of Tarragona. It was the oldest Roman settlement on the Iberian Peninsula. It became the capital of Hispania (current Spain) during the Roman Empire.
  • Wine tasting in Priorat & Siurana – Priorat is world-famous for its unique wines and Siurana is not only Ester’s surname but also a charming small village on top of a mountain that has been named one of the most beautiful of Catalonia or even Spain.
  • Reus Modernist routes – Reus is the closest city to the wedding venue and it stands out for its modernist buildings.
  • Port Aventura – It is Spain’s most visited theme park and has Europe’s fastest and tallest rollercoaster.
